  1. Plugin the extender to the switch and turn it on.

Steps to manually setup Netgear Extender using on MAC devices

  1. Plugin the WiFi extender in the socket, and once you turn it on, you will have to wait for the green LED light to get stable. 
  2. Connect the extender to your router. If you are setting up the extender for the first time, you will have to place the router and the extender in the same room. 
  3. Open the Safari browser and enter mywifiext.local in the address bar. 
  4. The login page will be displayed. Enter your username and password to log in.
  5. Now, certain instructions will be displayed on the screen. Follow those instructions to complete the mywifiext login process.
  6. After completing all the mywifiext setup instructions, click on the Save button.
  7. Now, turn off the extender and the router for some time.
  8. Restart both the devices and now you can place the extender wherever you want in the house but within the router’s reach to extend the WiFi network signals.
